Fines for Failing to Comply

As of 1st July 2021, when a brand new, renewed or varied tenancy is signed for a Porirua rental property, all Healthy Homes compliance work need to be done inside of 90 days.

Tenancies commenced in the period between July 1st 2019 to 30 June 2021

  • Insulation of the underfloor and ceiling is compulsory to all Porirua and New Zealand rental homes where it’s reasonably practicable to put in.
