Fines for Failing to Comply

The harshest penalties are handed down only for serious violations, and landlords who own six or more properties can be penalised up to $50,000, and even as high as $100,000 in the case of hearing claims.

Tenancies signed in the period between July 1st 2019 and 30 June 2021

  • Ceiling and underfloor insulation is compulsory throughout Glenside and New Zealand rental homes where it’s reasonably practicable to install.
